About me as a therapist

As a therapist, I aim to provide a non-judgmental, supportive and compassionate space where you feel safe to discuss difficult topics and concerns. During our meetings, I will try to help you gain a better understanding of the difficulties you experience (e.g., based on psychological models and personal history), and help you become effective in managing these outside of the therapy space.

My approach is evidence-based, which means that I use methods and tools that have been shown to be effective for specific difficulties and individuals. The main approaches and tools that I work with include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy and compassion-focused therapy. When appropriate, and depending on the individual needs, I will combine tools from different approaches.

About my therapy sessions

I am available for an initial phonecall to discuss the nature of your concerns before booking a session.

The initial sessions focus on understanding your current difficulties, and therefore I will be asking you questions regarding your current situation. I may also ask you to fill in psychological questionnaires.

At the beginning of our meetings, we will also discuss therapy goals together. Throughout our meetings, I will actively listen and offer support, as well as tools and perspectives that can help you with the difficulties that you experience. Every client is different, and we will be evaluating your well-being and adjusting the approach depending on what works for you.
