Christina Kapanen
I use an integrative approach, with a particular interest in schema-focused work. This allows us to explore recurring patterns and how earlier life experiences, including childhood and early relationships, may influence the present. I have experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, work-related stress and trauma-related experiences. Clients are welcome whether they come with a clear concern or are simply seeking greater self-understanding and change.

Schema therapy
As a therapist, I am calm, attentive and supportive, and I aim to create a safe and trusting space for our work together. I value a respectful, non-judgmental approach where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences at their own pace. My work is compassionate and collaborative, with attention to recurring patterns and relational themes. I support clients in developing greater self-understanding in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
About my therapy sessionsSessions are shaped around your needs, concerns and goals. We begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what feels most important to focus on. Our work may include reflective conversation, noticing emotional and relational patterns, and exploring how earlier life experiences may influence the present. I work in an integrative way, drawing on schema-focused thinking as well as elements of CBT, ACT and mindfulness when helpful. The pace and focus of the work are always adapted to what feels safe and meaningful for you.
