Schema therapy
As a therapist, I am compassionate, attentive, and supportive. I aim to create a safe, calm, and trusting space where clients can feel heard, accepted, and able to explore their experiences at their own pace. My working style is primarily collaborative and gently guiding, balancing active engagement with giving space for reflection and silence when needed. I value a respectful, non-judgmental, and authentic therapeutic relationship, where clients feel met as they are without pressure or evaluation. I would describe my approach as warm and curious, with a focus on understanding each person’s unique story and inner world. My strengths lie in my ability to be emotionally present, to listen deeply, and to notice underlying patterns. I also bring patience and sensitivity to the therapeutic process, allowing change to unfold in a natural and meaningful way.
About my therapy sessionsSessions are shaped around your needs, concerns and goals. We begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what feels most important to focus on. Our work may include reflective conversation, noticing emotional and relational patterns, and exploring how earlier life experiences may influence the present. I work in an integrative way, drawing on schema-focused thinking as well as elements of CBT, ACT and mindfulness when helpful. The pace and focus of the work are always adapted to what feels safe and meaningful for you.
