About me as a therapist
I am an evidence-based therapist specializing in CBT, with additional training in DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and self-compassion. My approach is goal-oriented and structured, focusing on helping clients develop practical tools for lasting change. I work with teens and adults online, offering tailored strategies for anxiety, depression, stress, and more. I’m an active participant in therapy, providing feedback and assignments to reinforce learning between sessions. My goal is to equip clients with the skills and confidence to manage their mental health effectively. I also provide parenting support and guidance based on child psychology, helping parents build healthier family dynamics. Compassionate and organized, I regularly assess progress and adjust treatment to ensure clients stay on track. Ultimately, I aim to help clients develop lasting skills for emotional resilience and well-being.
About my therapy sessions
Before our first session, I speak with clients by phone to understand their concerns and start setting goals for therapy. Early sessions focus on understanding the presenting problem, establishing treatment goals, and creating a personalized treatment plan with a clear timeframe. This ensures that we set realistic goals for the time we have. In subsequent sessions, we work through the treatment plan, assess progress, and adjust as needed. We also decide on between-session activities together to reinforce learning. Each session typically begins with a check-in on symptoms, followed by a collaborative plan to address relevant issues. Using tools from CBT, we work on challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, practice acceptance when change isn’t possible, or problem-solve practical issues together.
